New things

Delaney finished her first week of school on Friday. She goes to the preschool at Aloma Methodist Church. Her teacher is very motherly and is loving having Delaney in her class. There are only two kids in the class. The other boy is also 15 mos. old. So, as you can imagine, Delaney gets a lot of attention and love. Delaney comes home smelling like her teacher so we know that she is being held and hugged throughout the day. She cried the first day Thad dropped her off, but has done fine ever since. She gets excited when I pick her up, but usually wants to keep playing. She especially likes the play kitchen and collection of hats.

Here are some of her new tricks:

She says please when she wants something. We are working on thank you.
She knows what a car is and says vroom vroom
She knows what a bee is and says buzz.
She lifts her shirt and shows her belly when you ask.
She knows where her ears, eyes, nose, and toes are.
She has always called me mama, but now calls me mommy, or my mommy.
She says mine. (We will probably regret teaching her this. )
She knows to put her dirty clothes in the hamper.
She puts her pacifier in her stuffed animals' mouths and makes a sucking sound.
She is starting to say I love.
She says choo choo for train.

She is pretty much off baby food, but still isn't very adventurous when it comes to trying new things. She doesn't like meat or veggies. She will eat any type of cracker, yogurt, and ice cream. We keep trying to expose her to new foods and hope that one day she will try it and like it.

I will post some pics as soon as I take some! This has been a very busy week for Thad and I.
