She had a check-up at her new doctor today. We really like her and the practice. Delaney's weight is 20 lbs, which puts her in the 10th percentile. I wasn't surprised, but I was disappointed that she hasn't gained weight since her 12 Month appt. The doctor wasn't really concerned, so I guess we shouldn't be either. We are going to keep trying to fatten her up with whatever she will eat. She is still very picky and won't try new things. Hopefully these next few months she will start eating better and gain a pound or two before her next appt. at 18 months.
Here are some fun things Delaney is doing these days:
-Loves falling back on to a bed
-Sits on her IKEA potty and carries it around the house
-Lifts up her shirt and points to her bellybutton
-Lifts up our shirts and points to our bellybuttons
-New words: turtle, Nana, Pops, Delaney
-Walks around with her purse on her arm
-Giggles when you do stupid things like hitting your head or tripping
-LOVES petting Penny and lights up when she sees her (too bad the love isn't mutual!)
-Dances when she hears music
-Claps when a song ends or when she hears applause
-Barks when she sees a dog in a book, on TV, or in person
-Says shhhh with a lisp when you tell her to be quiet around Penny
-Crawls into her chair in the sunroom and looks out the window (she will sit there for an hour just eating, drinking, and talking)
-Cries and whines into the mirror
-Throws herself down when she doesn't get what she wants
-Goes to the fridge and picks out what she wants
That is all I can think of now.
Next week both moms are coming to watch Delaney while Thad and I work. She will start school at Aloma Methodist the following week. I think she is really excited to start school again. She misses playing with other kids.
