18 Months and counting!

Today was Delaney's 18 month appoinment. Here are her latest stats:

Weight 21.8 pounds

Height 32 inches

She had a tough time because Mommy forgot the pacifier. Thad had to run across the street to get one. She is not a fan of the doctor's office and it didn't help that she had to get 3 shots. Poor baby. The doctor said she is doing well with her weight and milestones.

HAPPY (18 MONTH) BIRTHDAY DELANEY! It is so hard to believe she will 2 years old in 6 months!

Delaney is like a little sponge. She takes in everything around her. She will repeat just about every word she hears. She will do whatever you ask her to do, whether it be getting you a napkin or touching her shoulders. She knows all her body parts and after she points to it, she wants you to also point to yours. It is super cute! Over the Gator Homecoming weekend she learned to do the Gator chomp. As much as I would rather see her doing the UCF or UT cheers, you can't resist smiling when you see her chomping. She LOVES LOVES books and can't get enough of them. She likes patting the carpet and having you sit on a certain spot to read her books. Her favorite right now is an Elmo Search and Find book. She can point everything out as you ask. She has also started "reading" books to herself. Her teacher at school says she gets books and just babbles to herself as she flips the pages. Delaney has enjoyed seeing her grandparents every few weeks. I am so glad she has had the opportunity to grow up being close to them.
