Anecdotes--Be warned, it is long.

Here are some cute Delaney anecdotes:

-In the morning Delaney tells us she is "hun-gee" and heads to the kitchen. She tells us to get her "bib-ee", "spoon-ee", and picks her yogurt from the fridge. She helps drag her high chair into the living room because she likes to watch Mickey while she eats.

-Delaney LOVES cleaning. She steals baby wipes and walks around cleaning any surface she can find. She cried and threw a tantrum when I wouldn't give her one of my Clorox wipes to clean with.

-Delaney is a bit of a clean freak. Besides wiping down surfaces, she also likes to pick up small particles from the floor. It might be a food crumb or a piece of thread. It is amazing what she notices and picks up. (I can't wait till she can vacuum!)

-Delaney likes to stand on the couch even though she knows she isn't suppose to. She always makes sure you can see her being naughty. She likes to throw her head back and hit the cushions and say "Boing Boing!"

-DK's favorite word right now is no. But she says it more like, "Nnnnoooooo!" She really draws out the letters. She says it to us a lot, but I also hear her saying it to herself in her bed. I guess she is reaching the terrible twos early.

-Delaney is trying to establish her independence lately. When she wants to be by herself or try something without your help, she will say, "Bye-bye! Muah!" I think it is sweet how she offers a kiss so you don't feel bad about her rejection.

-These last two weeks of vacation we feel like Delaney has learned so much. Her teacher is going to be amazed at how much she is talking. She will repeat anything you say and says sentences with a few words in them. Some cute things she says..."bibbity boppity boo" and "yabba dabba doo".

-She recognizes pictures of friends and family. I was shocked when she remembered her friend Zoe who she hasn't seen in a while. She has a good memory!

-Delaney is very tech-savvy. She knows how to unlock iPhones and how to flip through the pages. She loves using her finger to look at my pictures. She walks around with our phones and talks to people. She knows whose phone is whose even though ours look similar. She also knows which buttons to push on the TV remote. She is very observant and tries to see what she can do.

-Delaney had a great Christmas. Her big gifts were a kitchen, a bike, a shopping cart, and a water table. She got lots of clothes, books, and small toys too. Her favorite past times are reading books and loading things into baskets, bags, and boxes and taking them around the house.

-Lastly, Delaney is still not eating like we would like her to. She should be eating all table food now, but unfortunately she is not. She stills loves her old favorites, yogurt, fruit, crackers, cheese. I am trying to find and make as many things I can that have veggies mixed in. I made zuchhini cookies yesterday and am watching DK eat one as I type. YAY!

Sorry this was so long. I guess that is what happens when you don't write for a while! DK will be 20 months on January 13th. I will plan to add another update then!
