Poor Delaney

Delaney has really worried us the last few days. She will cry and cry and we have no idea what is wrong. Either her teeth hurt her or her cold is bothering her. She gets so worked up that she starts having trouble breathing. We had to drive her around this evening to calm her down. We also busted out the old vibrating chair that was in the garage and that worked well. 

Luckily, Dr. Anderson (Thad's sister, Christy) will be visiting this week. She will take good care of her and hopefully have some things to try once she sees DK's symptoms. 

I will keep you posted on her progress.  

Fun with Lyla

This patch of bluebonnets is in our neighborhood. During a walk with Lyla and her mommies, we snuck a few pictures of the girls before the owner of the patch came home!!

It is so cute seeing these two together. 

Delaney did not like the itchy grass. She wouldn't put her foot down.

Delaney took out her stuffed animals from her basket and then crawled in somehow when I wasn't looking. She had fun playing in there. 

Delaney pulled Penny's bed off the chair and crawled in. She has been watching Penny snuggle in it and wanted to check it out. 

Rachel came for SXSW. We went out to eat with her on South Congress. Delaney wasn't up for pictures, so we didn't get many good ones.

Delaney hates hats, but would wear this one for a little bit. My mom loves watermelons so she bought this hat for her before she was born.

Spring Break Fun

This morning we went to the park with my friend Jenny and her two boys Austin and Walker. 

Jenny and I taught together at Odom.

Later in the afternoon we went to the lake with some friends. Here is Delaney in the swimsuit Aunt Christy gave her. 

Thad put some lake water in this tub for DK to play in. It was a little cold, but she didn't seem to mind. She splashed around and kicked her legs. 

Thad set up his hammock and DK liked it for a few minutes, but then got a little scared. 

Delaney tried her first pickle! She really liked it!

Climbing the stairs

Delaney taught herself how to climb the stairs. She loves going up, but has yet to figure out how to get down. We will work on that...

She always stops at the first landing and takes a break and then does the second set of stairs.  She is pretty proud of her new skill!

St. Patrick's Day

We had a busy St. Pat's Day. We took Delaney to see Slumdog Millionaire at the Alamo Drafthouse. It was Baby Day so hopefully no one minded the occasional cry from DK. She was pretty tired because she skipped her morning nap. Our plan was to have her sleep during the movie, but she had another plan. She did finally sleep for a little bit towards the end of the movie. When we got home we worked in the garage, and then Thad took her for a run. She fell right to sleep. Check out the rest of our day in reverse order. (I uploaded the pictures backwards!)

15 more years and she will really be behind the wheel!
